FortiGuard Shows Certificate Error Instead of Replacement Messages Fix

Today I'll share with you guys the problem fix that I've had to look for it for a couple of days. I didn't find it on the net. But trying is the best way sometimes to find something, right?

Alright, the problem I faced was is I did some URL Blocks and Web Filters to my network from my Fortinet 80F Firewall. And for sure I also did edit my Replacement Messages. Guess what? Instead of the Replacement Messages a certification error showed up like ERR: CERT.AUTH bla bla... I tried changing some filter settings, adding some DNS rules, and allowing all kinds of SSL inspections but nothing worked of course.

SOLUTION:

1- Get into your SSL Inspection profile located in SSL/SSH Inspection section.

2-Download your current certificate that shows up as a "CA Certificate". It is usually the "Fortinet_CA_SSL" as the default one if you haven't changed it.

3-Open the certificate you downloaded. It'll prompt the certificate installing process.

4-Click "Install Certificate"

5-Click "Next".

6-Choose the second option that "Place all the certificates in the location defined below."

7-Click "Browse" and find "Trusted Certificate Authorities" then choose it click "Okay".

8-Finish the process and thats it. Restart your browser and you should've see your Replacement Messages instead of boring Certificate Error pages.

Bazı filtre ayarlarını değiştirmeyi, bazı DNS kuralları eklemeyi ve her türlü SSL denetimine izin vermeyi denedim ama tabii ki hiçbir şey işe yaramadı.

ÇÖZÜM:

1- SSL/SSH Inspection bölümünde bulunan SSL Inspection profilinize girin.

2-"CA Sertifikası" olarak görünen mevcut sertifikanızı indirin. Eğer değiştirmediyseniz genellikle varsayılan sertifika "Fortinet_CA_SSL" olur.

3-İndirdiğiniz sertifikayı açın. Sertifika yükleme işlemini başlatacaktır.

4-Sertifika Yükle'ye tıklayın

5-İleri'ye tıklayın.

6-İkinci seçenek olan "Tüm sertifikaları aşağıda tanımlanan konuma yerleştirin." seçeneğini seçin.

7-"Gözat "a tıklayın ve "Güvenilir Sertifika Yetkilileri "ni bulun, ardından seçin ve "Tamam "a tıklayın.

8-İşlemi tamamlayın ve işte bu kadar. Tarayıcınızı yeniden başlatın ve sıkıcı Sertifika Hatası sayfaları yerine Değiştirme Mesajlarınızı görmüş olmalısınız.
