How To Change FortiGuard Idle Timeout

Hi again folks!

Here's another basic but hard to find tip for the Fortinet Web Interface admins. There is a default rule exists in the Fortinet interface. You can not stay AFK for 5 minutes. Otherwise it'll kick you out. So maybe you want to change that time but there is a limit for it. Sadly can't make it unlimited.

SOLUTION

1-Open CLI in Web Interface

2-Write down the command "config system global" hit enter.

3-Write down the command "set admintimeout 480" hit enter.

4-Write down the command "end" hit enter.

And thats it. Maybe you'll need to login again to start your new 480 minute countdown :)

İşte Fortinet Web Arayüzü yöneticileri için bir başka temel ama bulunması zor ipucu. Fortinet arayüzünde varsayılan bir kural vardır. AFK olarak 5 dakika boyunca kalamazsınız. Aksi takdirde sizi dışarı atar. Bu yüzden belki bu süreyi değiştirmek isteyebilirsiniz ama bunun için bir sınır var. Ne yazık ki sınırsız yapamazsınız.

ÇÖZÜM

1-Web Arayüzünde CLI Açın

2-"config system global" komutunu yazıp enter tuşuna basın.

3-"set admintimeout 480" komutunu yazın ve enter tuşuna basın.

4-"end" komutunu yazıp enter'a basın.

Ve işte bu kadar. Belki yeni 480 dakikalık geri sayımınızı başlatmak için tekrar giriş yapmanız gerekebilir :)
